This lecture will review the facinating history, biology, and husbandry of cheetahs. We will take a deeper dive into the health of these unique and charasmatic animals. Dr. Haefele has helped manage the care of a large breeding group of cheetahs for over 18 years, and serves as one of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' Cheetah SSP Veterinary Co-advisors. Learn about how management affects health, what diseases are commonly diagnosed, and how to provide excellent preventive care.
